From the very start I saw this brand as one of hope, positive change and storytelling. One of the very first items came from my sister, Dindy, an Hermes La Danse scarf that was given to her by our father and it comes with a story of sugar plums and tutus.
Ballet was a big part of my sister's life and a love she shared with our dad. She took ballet lessons daily from age 4 to 25. We had a subscription to the New York City Ballet for decades, and last Christmas I took her to see the Joffrey Ballet’s version of The Nutcracker here in Chicago.
By upcycling the scarf into a limited edition collection of masks, we gave a cherished heirloom a new life. We had just enough silk to make 10 masks and we're down to the last 2. The dancers twirling across the luscious pink fabric are soft on the eye and skin.
My father's gift to my sister is now bringing joy to others, driving positive change through our contribution to COVID-19 relief funds.
Donate your heirloom to us, we'll give you the 1st mask as a gift and donate 15% of the sales to the charity of your choice.
P.S. Happy Father’s Day to one and all. We miss you dad!
