Breathing is one of the only systems in the body that we can control - breathe in...breathe out...pause. What this action does is help us regulate our nervous system and man-o-man do we all need some of this ease now! Yoga is one of the best ways we know how to accomplish this state of bliss.
In honor of International Day of Yoga, the yogis at Vintage Luxe Up - yes, we practice daily - are sharing a bit of what we’ve learned on the mat that we take off the mat into our quotidien lives to be the best versions of who we are!

Pause for a moment and look around you allowing your gaze to rest on something that is beautiful to you. Don’t overthink it. Take a walk outside. Smile at anyone your see. Perhaps do a silent walking self-compassion meditation - or take a seat in the grass. Softly repeat twice to yourself, “May I be happy. May I be healthy. May I love and be loved. May I be peaceful.” Extend those words to all whom you love. To aquaintances and strangers - even to those you find a wee bit difficult and then to the universe saying, “May we all be happy. May we all be healthy. May we all love and be loved.
