Francoise Faconnet for Hermès
1963
The Hermès Astrologie (Dies et Hore) scarf, designed by Françoise Faconnet, is inspired by a Renaissance astrological table. First issued in 1963, the scarf depicts an astrological wheel with sun, moon, and zodiac signs, often set against a black background with yellow and white details. While the scarf's official title is "Astrologie," it's widely known as "Dies et Hore" (Latin for "days and hours") due to that inscription on the design. The scarf has been reissued multiple times, including in 1988 and 2005, and remains a popular and iconic design
