Story Behind The Scarf

The Hermès Au Coeur de la Vie scarf, designed by Aline Honoré and first introduced in 2007, depicts the vibrant life within an equatorial rainforest. It's a celebration of nature, showcasing a rich tapestry of flora and fauna, including chameleons, monkeys, parrots, hummingbirds, and tiny lemurs amidst orchids and carnivorous plants. The scarf's design aims to capture the energy and infinite diversity of this often-unexplored environment.

The scarf's central theme is the life cycle and interconnectedness within an equatorial rainforest. It starts at the heart of a single living cell and extends to the tops of the tallest trees, symbolizing the journey of life.

The design features a lush array of plants and animals, including orchids, carnivorous plants, parrots, hummingbirds, and small lemurs. These elements are depicted in intricate detail, highlighting the richness and diversity of the rainforest environment.
