The Hermes Bete de Concours silk scarf, first issued in 2006, was designed by Robert Dallet. The name itself, Bete de Concours. translates to "Prize Winning Animal," reflecting the scarf's equestrian theme. The design features elements associated with equestrian events, such as ribbons, ropes, and a riding hat, against a red, grid-patterned background.

While there isn't a specific individual story behind this scarf beyond its design inspiration, it is part of Hermes' ongoing commitment to featuring artistic creations on its iconic silk scarves, often drawing inspiration from the equestrian world, which is deeply rooted in the brand's history.
