One-of-a-kind pillows reimagined from the world’s finest collection of vintage Hermès scarves. Each piece is unique, handcrafted in our Lexington KY atelier – never to be repeated.

Story Behind The Scarf

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Neiman Marcus, this scarf is a 2007 re-edition of a  scarf by Henri d’Origny from the early 1960s (often dated around 1962 or 1964). the Hermès Cheval Fleuri (Flowering Horse) scarf draws deep artistic inspiration from the 16th-century Italian painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo, a master of metamorphosis at the Habsburg court. Just as Arcimboldo famously composed human portraits out of hidden arrangements of fruits, vegetables, or books, d’Origny applies this same whimsical illusion to the natural world of an English garden.

A delicate side-saddle rider, a prancing horse, a flying egret, and a leaping hound are all intricately rendered through a vibrant assembly of iris and daffodil blossoms, lush foliage, and flowing posy ribbons. Merging Hermès's lifelong equestrian heritage with botanical artistry, the design transforms a traditional scene of horse and rider into a living, blooming tapestry.

I do not think the item was made from a silk scarf - it is too heavy and feels more like it was made from an actual handbag or something other than a silk scarf. feels more like tapestry.

I just took some pics not sure if you got them but I thought the product was going to look exactly like the picture shown. The one I received is not exactly like the picture shown - different part of the scarf on mine, different color zipper, not what I expected. I would be nervous to buy as a gift for someone unless I saw it for myself in a store.

The cuff bracelet is just "ok". It is not as heavy as one would expect from a luxury item - it feels light, like something that can be bought in any costume kiosk at a mall. The scarf remnant woven through the cuff bracelet is not silk as described - it is a wool blend, so not drapey. Overall, disappointed with this piece. I am still waiting for a bag I ordered at the same time (10/9). I'm hoping for a better outcome when I receive that.

The charm itself is beautiful, but the smell is HORRIBLE! It smells like a moldy musky basement. I thought the smell would go away, but it didn’t. I had set the charm on our dining room table and my husband asked what that smell was and he was in the family room. Thought about tossing it but I spent $140, I couldn’t return because I needed to get that box out of my house fast. I have it in a shoebox with charcoal oder eater pads. I hope this works.

This was pretty, but it smells absolutely horrible and can’t use it. Smells moldy. I have a large bedroom and it made my bedroom smell so bad. Moved it to my bathroom, it’s large as well, made that smell. I eant to throw it away but it was $140. If anyone knows how to get a moldy basement smell out of something, please let me know.
