Loic Dubigeon for Hermès
1987
The story behind the Hermès Fantaisies Indiennes scarf is that it was designed by Loic Dubigeon in 1987 as a tribute to Indian culture and features a central Tree of Life design inspired by the frescoes and paintings found in the Shekhawati region of India.i
The detailed border of the scarf draws from the murals on the havelis (fortified homes) of wealthy 19th-century Marwari merchants in Rajasthan. Notably, the original 1987 issue includes a portrait of Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian citizen in space, who is depicted with his initials at the base of the tree.

To clean Sunbrella interior fabric, first brush off any loose dirt. Then, apply a solution of mild soap and water (or a Sunbrella cleaner) with a soft-bristle brush or cloth allowing it to soak in for a few minutes. For tougher stains, a mixture of 1 cup bleach and ¼ cup mild soap per gallon of water can be used. After scrubbing, rinse the fabric thoroughly with water to remove all soap residue and allow it to air dry.
Exclusively ours, all items are sourced and altered from independently authenticated secondary market sources to preserve their beauty while reducing waste and its impact on the planet.
