Story Behind The Scarf

The Hermès Farandole scarf, designed by Caty Latham, features a whimsical array of butterflies and wildflowers. First issued in 1985, and re-issued in 1992, it's a popular choice for those who appreciate a romantic and feminine design. The scarf's design is a medley of butterflies, with some representing those that live only a few weeks, and others, like the monarch, that can live for several months. Butterflies are also indicators of environmental health, sensitive to changes in habitat and climate.
