The Butterfly: A Symbol of Transformation

The butterfly is often a quiet symbol of transformation, carrying the idea that change is not only inevitable but necessary for growth.

Its journey from a grounded caterpillar into a winged creature reflects the human experience of shedding old identities, enduring unseen struggles, and emerging renewed.

Across cultures the butterfly represents the spirit, rebirth, and the delicate balance between life’s brevity and its beauty.

Once, in a quiet garden, a young caterpillar envied the birds that soared above him. He felt small, bound to the earth, certain that his life would never amount to more than crawling from leaf to leaf. One day, an instinct he didn’t understand urged him to wrap himself in stillness.

Inside the cocoon, everything he had known dissolved—it was dark, uncertain, and uncomfortable. For a time, he wondered if he had made a mistake. But when the shell finally broke, he emerged not as he had been, but as something entirely new. With fragile wings and trembling courage, he lifted into the air. The garden he once saw from below unfolded beneath him in color and light.

And in that first flight, he understood: the struggle had not been the end of him—it had been the making of him.

FROM THE FOUNDER

I won't list a piece I wouldn't put in my own home. Twenty years of luxury retail taught me what authentic looks like — and what doesn't.
