Story Behind The Scarf

The Hermès Cordages scarf features aquatic motifs like ropes, cords, floats, and buoys. It was designed by French artist Pierre Marie and was first introduced in 1970 and later reissued in 2013.

The inspiration behind the Cordages scarf stems from nautical themes, evident in the depiction of ropes and other aquatic elements. Pierre Marie, known for his intricate designs, began his collaborations with Hermès in 2008 and has since contributed to over 20 scarf creations for the esteemed fashion house.
