Specifically, it pays homage to the carousel that operated at the Luna Park amusement park in Brooklyn, New York, from 1909 to 1946. The scarf features detailed depictions of carousel horses adorned with intricate harnesses and decorative elements. It is a jacquard silk scarf, a technique Hermès discontinued in 2001, making these scarves particularly sought after by collectors.
