The  Pois de Soie (literally “Silk Dots”) scarf was created for Hermès in 2011 by the designer Caty Latham.  The motif is playful and composed of many dot-shaped elements or “poises” — a kind of graphic array of circles, each containing mini-motifs or icons drawn from Hermès’ archival imagery.

The scarf celebrates and recycles Hermès’ history of scarves by embedding mini-motifs of previous designs into this one.
