The Cheval à la Couverture scarf by Hermès is inspired by a design from an album in the Emile Hermès collection, specifically a depiction of horses with their decorative covers. This design was brought to life by Jacques Eudel in 1962, showcasing equestrian artistry with horses bearing their owners' numbers and colors. The scarf is part of a long tradition of Hermès scarves, which began in 1937, and has become an iconic fashion accessory, recognized globally for its quality and artistic designs.
The Cheval à la Couverture scarf draws its inspiration from an album of designs within the Emile Hermès collection. This album features various horses, each with its unique decorative cover and identifying number.
The scarf was designed by Jacques Eudel, who was inspired by the equestrian imagery in the album. He translated the visual elements into the scarf's design, capturing the beauty and detail of the horses and their coverings.
