The story behind the Hermès Illusion Exquise scarf is inspired by the surrealist game, "Cadavre Exquis," and features artist Jonathan Burton's unique, humorous, and fantasy-driven approach. The design transforms three classic Hermès archetypes—the Craftsman, the Horse (Hermès' first client), and the Collector—into surreal mannequins that fuse the human and the object, representing a whimsical blend of creator and creation.

It challenges perception by using unusual juxtapositions and mischievous shadows, reflecting a central Hermès theme of transforming utilitarian materials into extraordinary objects through imagination and artistry
