For centuries, elephants have been cherished as symbols of wisdom, strength, and good fortune. It is said that an elephant with its trunk raised brings blessings to all who keep it close — carrying luck, protection, and prosperity into the home.

This gentle companion is more than a friend; it is a reminder of resilience, kindness, and the joyful surprises life brings. Wherever your journey takes you, may your elephant always lift its trunk to welcome happiness and good fortune your way.

One-of-a-kind from a vintage Hermès Les Sangles & Pavois silk scarves paired with velvet stripe cloth, each piece is unique handmade in a family owned workshop in South Carolina.

Stories Behind The Scarves

The Hermès Pavois scarf depicts flags from medieval European kingdoms, with Pavois meaning "bulwark" or defensive wall in French. It was designed by Philippe Ledoux, an artist who also illustrated for the French Navy Museum and children's books. The scarf's design, like all Hermès scarves, is rooted in a rich history of artistry and craftsmanship, with the silk itself considered a precious material for centuries.

The Hermès Les Sangles scarf, designed by Joachim Metz, draws inspiration from the functional world of equestrian equipment. Specifically, the scarf's design is based on a catalog of stable gear from the late 19th century, featuring straps used to secure blankets on horses, particularly during colder weather or travel. Metz cleverly translated these functional elements into a visually appealing and modern design.
